Hausberg Vase
Glass, viscous at 1200 degrees, fine and fragile in its cooled form, and solid stone enter into a symbiosis in the Hausberg vase. A simple, mouth-blown cylinder is pressed onto a stone. A striking imprint remains in the solidified glass. The image of a mountain is created, the height of which varies with the amount of water in the glass.
